An important stage in the implementation of Kazakhstan’s first marine aquaculture project has been completed — our company’s sea cages were successfully towed to their installation site in the Middle Caspian, 20 km from the port of Kuryk, and their assembly has begun.
The cages, 120 meters in diameter and 25 meters deep, manufactured in Norway and adapted to the conditions of the Caspian, will form the basis of the country’s first marine salmon farming facility.
The completion of towing and installation marks the start of practical production, which will allow Kazakhstan to independently cultivate premium-quality organic fish, strengthen food security, and create new jobs in the region.
“Towing and installing the cages is a key stage of the entire project. We are creating infrastructure that will allow the development of marine aquaculture and access to international markets,” said a representative of Organic Fish.
